Paulette Tavormina
Paulette Tavormina is an award-winning American fine-art photographer based in New York City and Connecticut, renowned for her richly detailed still-life photographs inspired by 17th-century Old Master paintings.
Her work, which evokes the composition, light, and symbolism of Baroque and Dutch still life, has been widely exhibited and is held in museum, corporate, and private collections around the world, and her monograph Paulette Tavormina: Seizing Beauty (Monacelli Press) was reviewed by The New York Times and Architectural Digest.
A recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, Tavormina also maintains a successful commercial photography practice, shooting campaigns for clients such as Gucci and commissions for National Geographic and The New York Times, and her images have appeared in exhibitions and collections from Paris and London to New York and San Francisco.
